Joe for South Carolina is seeking a statewide Organizing Director. The Organizing Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a statewide field program; maintaining the campaign’s statewide voter database; hiring and managing staff within the organizing department; building a statewide volunteer program; creating and implementing quarterly department objectives and budgets; and working collaboratively with other senior staffers to achieve campaign objectives.


The ideal candidate will be a data-driven, solutions-oriented problem solver, and self-starter. This role will report to the campaign manager and work closely with other senior staffers (department heads).

 


Responsibilities

  • You will create and implement quarterly Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) for the organizing department, with guidance from the campaign manager and senior staff team

  • You will help create the campaign’s quarterly OKRs and provide organizing advice and guidance to the senior staff team

  • You will develop and implement a statewide field plan; analyzing elections, voter, and modeling data to help build and maintain statewide voter outreach universes

  • You will oversee hiring and team management within the organizing department together with the campaign manager, including recruiting, training, and managing volunteers statewide

  • You will maintain the campaign’s statewide voter database

 

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of campaign experience, South Carolina experience preferred

  • 2+ years of management experience, particularly managing an organizing team and a budget

  • Experience recruiting and training volunteer organizing program

  • Proven experience creating and implementing strategic plans

  • Strong ability to solve problems and find quick, creative solutions

  • Expert proficiency with VoteBuilder, and a strong ability to analyze elections and voter data
